Maestro Adam Stern

Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra Concert

Sunday, October 22, 2017, 2 p.m.

IKEA Performing Arts Center, 400 South 2nd St. Renton

As part of a community outreach program, SPO presents a Fall Family Concert sponsored by Allied Arts of Renton at a price you can afford. Adults $8, seniors $5 and Students $3. Pianist Cristina Valdez will be the featured artist playing Ravel’s extraordinary “Concerto for the Left Hand.” Maestro Adam Stern says, “This concert celebrates some of music’s greatest student/teacher relationships: Saint-Saens taught Faure, who taught Ravel, who taught Vaughan Williams.” Besides the Concerto for Left Hand, the program will include Saint-Saëns, French Military March from the Suite Algérienne and Danse Macabre; Faure’s Pavanne and Vaughan Williams, Symphony No. 8 in D Minor.
