 Solana Jenkins has been steadily advancing her musical goals and  gives Allied Arts credit for giving her the confidence she needed to pursue her dream. Playing trumpet, she was in the Liberty High School marching band and received glowing comments and an award from the band instructor.  

2018 winner, Danielle Spahn is with the Musical Theatre Competition of America, played Anna in a Disney production of Frozen and performed with the Royal Theatre Company

The 2017 winner of the Allied Arts Scholarship award was Jessica Nguyen, a student at Hazen High School. Jessica applied for the scholarship asking if Allied Arts would help her purchase a new trumpet since her old trumpet was falling apart.

2014 Scholarship Winner: Oboist. “The oboe just fit my personality, it’s a really happy instrument,"

“Music is really fun and challenging,. There’s always something different and beautiful about each song. I want to continue to share that with others.”  

2013 Scholarship Winner: Pianist

 The first recipient for 2013 was McKenzie Fysh, a young pianist who received her scholarship at the Renton Community Foundation’s Circle of Giving Awards ceremony. She is using it to further her musical career. 

2021 Scholarship winner: Artist.

 Trevon said, “I want to continue to explore and be open to opportunities that come my way. I want to create art not only for enjoyment, but art that will inspire others to make a change in their lives, in their community and in the world. "
